1. Parties and scope
1.1 Service provider: NearFar; contact email: legal@nearfar.app.
1.2 These terms apply to the entire process of submitting applications for, purchasing and using the service through the NearFar website, the customer workspace and any other channels we provide. Before You Apply, the Interruption and Refund Policy, the Privacy Policy and your order confirmation form part of these terms. If your order confirmation differs from these terms, whichever is more favorable to you applies.
1.3 By ticking the consent box on the application page, registering an account or completing payment, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not submit an application or use the service.
2. Eligibility
2.1 You must be an individual aged 18 or over with full civil capacity, or a lawfully established organization acting through an authorized representative.
2.2 You must ensure that the information you provide when registering and applying is true, accurate and complete, and keep it up to date.
2.3 You are responsible for confirming that the laws where you are located, and the regional, age and eligibility rules of the third-party services you intend to use (including but not limited to Anthropic's Claude), permit your use. The fact that the device is located in Singapore and uses a Singapore IP address does not make you eligible to use any third-party service. You may not use this service to evade local regulation or third-party regional restrictions.
3. The service
3.1 We currently offer the following plans. The exact configuration, quantity, rental period and amount are as stated in your order confirmation:
| Plan | Includes | Rental periods |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | One dedicated physical Mac mini M4 (16GB / 256GB), Singapore residential broadband, native macOS, remote desktop access | 1–24 months, 30 days per month |
3.2 “Dedicated” means that during the rental period one physical machine is assigned to one user only, with no virtualization and no overselling. We retain administrative access to the machine for maintenance, security response and reclaiming it at the end of the rental; see section 9.
3.3 Networking uses a Singapore residential broadband IP. Several machines may share one line and one outbound IP. A residential IP does not mean the IP has no history, and we do not guarantee that it will not trigger any third party's risk controls. Network details are as provided at delivery.
3.4 Remote access is provided through third-party remote desktop software (currently UU Remote), which its operator provides independently. When using it, you must also comply with its user agreement.
3.5 We do not provide third-party accounts, subscriptions or Mac hosting. Pricing for multiple months and devices follows section 5.
4. Third-party accounts and tutorials
You register, verify and manage your own third-party accounts and purchase your subscriptions. We provide setup and security tutorials, not accounts, identity documents, KYC services or guaranteed approval.
Do not give us or others passwords, verification codes, recovery codes or identity documents. Submit authentic personal information only through the platform’s official verification channels. A Singapore device or IP cannot substitute for genuine residence or eligibility.
5. Pricing and payment
5.1 Each device is priced by the months bought at once: CNY 999/month for 1–5 months, CNY 899/month for 6–11, CNY 799/month for 12–23 and CNY 669/month for 24. Each month is 30 days; the full term is paid upfront and no platform service fee is charged.
5.2 Amount due = applicable monthly rate × rental months × device quantity, less the discounts in section 5.3, rounded to two decimal places. The minimum is one month.
5.3 Discounts: (1) First order: a customer who has never paid us and submits an application within 30 minutes of their first visit to this site gets CNY 300 off each device on that order; applications submitted later do not qualify and the discount is not reissued. (2) Team discount: 5% off the rent of any order of 3 or more devices. Both may apply together. Confirmed order amounts are preserved and price changes are not retroactive.
5.4 Renewals: a renewal is priced at the section 5.1 rate for the months renewed (for example CNY 899/month for 6 months or CNY 799/month for 12) and does not get the first-order discount. Renewing before the service ends keeps your months continuous and extends the end date by 3 extra days; if a service ends without renewal, the count resets and a later rental is priced as a new order.
5.5 Referral rewards: your referral code is valid for 12 months from the date it is generated. When someone enters your referral code on their first application (or arrives through your referral link) and their first order is delivered, you each receive 7 free days of rental. Reward days are added automatically to your active service at the time (or, if you have none, to your next delivered service). They cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred. Each referred person counts only once. Rewards obtained through self-referral, bulk registration or similar methods will be revoked.
5.6 Ownership: once an order has been paid for 24 continuous months (including a single 24-month purchase), ownership of that Mac mini passes to you when that term ends. You may choose (1) to have us wipe it and ship it to an address you name, with shipping and import taxes at your cost, or (2) to give up the machine and take CNY 1000 in cash or equivalent rental credit instead. This does not apply if the service lapsed without renewal, was ended early, or was terminated for serious breach.
5.7 Payment is by WeChat Pay or Alipay. All orders are one-time payments, and we do not renew or charge you automatically. Before your rental ends, we will remind you to renew through your customer workspace and the contact details you provided.
5.8 If you need an invoice or other valid receipt, please request it through a support ticket after payment.
6. Confirmation, delivery and rental period
6.1 Submitting an application does not charge you. We will confirm the plan, availability and amount with you within 24 hours; once confirmed, we issue a bill and you complete payment in your customer workspace.
6.2 Once payment is complete and a machine is available, we arrange delivery and send you the connection details. Delivery in as little as 30 minutes is a best case, not a guaranteed time. If no machine is available, requests are queued in order and we will tell you the expected time.
6.3 After you confirm the machine connects properly, we manually start your rental period on the order. If you do not report a connection problem within 24 hours of the connection details being sent, you are deemed to have confirmed. Each rental month is 30 days, with a minimum of one month.
6.4 If the service has not been delivered within 7 days of payment and we have not agreed otherwise, you may cancel the order for a full refund.
6.5 If, within 24 hours of delivery, the machine's configuration, network or remote access clearly does not match what was agreed and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, you may cancel the order for a full refund.
7. Pauses, maintenance and interruptions
7.1 We give at least 24 hours' notice of planned maintenance. If the machine cannot be used because of a fault, maintenance or another reason on our side, we record the cause and pause your rental period. Paused time does not count toward the rental period, and once service resumes the end date is extended by the actual paused time (with any part of an hour counted as a full hour).
7.2 If an order is interrupted for reasons on our side for more than 72 hours in total, you may choose to end the service and receive a refund of the unused portion under the Interruption and Refund Policy.
7.3 We take reasonable measures to maintain availability, but cross-border networks, carrier outages, power cuts and similar events may affect connectivity, and we do not promise 100% availability. We cannot avoid liability simply by citing “network issues”, “maintenance” or “force majeure”; whether we are excused depends on the actual cause and its impact.
8. Acceptable use
8.1 You must comply with the laws of where you are located, of Singapore and any other applicable laws, as well as the rules of relevant third-party services. You may not use the service to:
- create, copy or distribute unlawful content, or engage in fraud, gambling, intellectual property infringement, invasion of privacy or other unlawful activities;
- make the account, sessions or subscription available to others through a reverse proxy, API relay, shared gateway or similar means, or share, rent out or resell the account or subscription access;
- distill or extract model capabilities or train competing models without permission, or carry out bulk abuse through brute-force requests, rate-limit circumvention or prohibited automation;
- use the machine as a proxy server, VPN exit node or traffic relay, or provide network access to others;
- send spam, carry out network attacks, scanning, malicious scraping or cryptocurrency mining, or spread malware;
- attempt to access other users' machines, our management systems or network equipment, or bypass our security measures;
- use cracking tools, stolen credentials, fraudulent payments or forged materials.
8.2 Normal travel, IP changes, reaching normal usage levels or an account being restricted do not, by themselves, prove a violation.
8.3 You must keep your customer workspace account and connection details secure and not hand them to anyone else. Losses caused by your disclosure of credentials are handled according to the actual cause and responsibility.
9. Device management, access and data
9.1 We retain administrative access to the machine solely for maintenance, troubleshooting, security response and reclaiming it at the end of the rental. Except with your authorization, to respond to an ongoing security incident or as required by law, we do not access your files or activity on the device, and any such access is logged.
9.2 To protect network security and prevent abuse, we record network traffic metadata for the machine (such as connection times, traffic volume and destination ports), but we do not record or inspect traffic content.
9.3 The device service does not include automatic backup or data recovery; please back up important data yourself. 72 hours after your rental period ends (including expiry without renewal), we wipe the device and reinstall the system, and data cannot be recovered. Deleting files, reinstalling the system or changing remote access permissions may affect your data and connection, so please confirm the impact first.
9.4 We provide hands-on assistance only within the scope you authorize. Before any significant operation such as clearing data or reinstalling the system, we will obtain your explicit confirmation.
10. Handling violations
10.1 For ordinary issues that can be corrected, we will ask you to stop the conduct, explain the situation or put it right within a reasonable time.
10.2 Where there is suspected illegality or fraud, a threat to the security of our systems or other users, or continued use would increase losses, we may first take restrictions or suspension measures proportionate to the risk, preserve the necessary evidence and notify you promptly.
10.3 You manage your third-party accounts; we do not provide replacements or reopen subscriptions. A third-party restriction does not automatically refund rent when the device remains available as agreed. Confirmed device service faults remain covered by the refund policy.
10.4 Where the conditions for termination under the law or these terms are met, we may terminate the affected service in accordance with the law. Fees for the portion already performed are not refunded. The unperformed portion and any provable direct losses that you are legally liable for and that have been reasonably mitigated are settled separately and itemized, with no double deductions, and the full period's fee is never treated as a fixed penalty.
10.5 A finding of violation requires specific facts, the rule relied on and evidence linking it to the loss. You may explain the situation and request a review. Exercising your rights to complain, request a review or pursue statutory dispute remedies in the normal way is not a breach of contract.
11. Limitation of liability
11.1 Third-party services such as Claude, the remote desktop software and payment channels are operated independently; their moderation decisions, policy changes, usage limit changes, outages and response times are outside our control. Third-party causes do not release us from the delivery and refund obligations we have committed to.
11.2 To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty as to the accuracy of content generated by third-party products, its fitness for your business, any particular business outcome, or decisions you make yourself, and we make no additional commitment to compensate for indirect losses such as expected profits or business opportunities. Whether a loss should be compensated, and to what extent, depends on actual fault, causation, foreseeability, reasonable mitigation and applicable law.
11.3 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for property loss caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or for personal injury, nor does it exclude your statutory consumer rights. The cap at the amount actually paid in the Interruption and Refund Policy applies only to refund calculations and is not a general cap on any other liability we bear under the law.
12. Intellectual property
The page design, text, graphics, trademarks and software of the NearFar website and customer workspace belong to us or the relevant rights holders. Mac, Mac mini and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc., and Claude is a trademark of Anthropic PBC; this service has no affiliation or partnership with those companies. Content you create on the device belongs to you.
13. Account deletion and termination
13.1 You may request deletion of your account at any time in the customer workspace or through a support ticket. Any outstanding orders or unpaid fees must be settled first. After deletion, we delete or anonymize your personal information under the Privacy Policy, except where the law requires us to retain it.
13.2 The relevant service ends when it expires without renewal, when both parties agree, or when it is terminated in accordance with the law. Termination does not affect rights and obligations that arose before termination.
14. Changes and notices
14.1 We may update these terms in response to business or legal changes. We will announce material changes on the website and in the customer workspace at least 7 days in advance and notify you by email.
14.2 Updated terms do not apply retroactively to orders you have already confirmed. If you do not agree to an update, you may stop using the service before it takes effect, and any remaining fees will be handled under the applicable rules.
14.3 Notices we send to your registered email or customer workspace are deemed delivered when sent.
15. Governing law and disputes
15.1 The formation, validity, interpretation and performance of these terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (for the purposes of these terms, excluding the laws of the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions and Taiwan). Where the law contains mandatory provisions, those provisions apply.
15.2 If a dispute arises, both parties should first try to resolve it amicably. You may also file a complaint with, or request mediation from, a consumer association or similar body.
15.3 If negotiation fails, either party may bring a lawsuit before a people's court with jurisdiction under the law. This does not affect any other choice of jurisdiction available to consumers under the law.
